PROJECTS
Large turnkey projects are a Solex specialty. Deploying highly skilled personnel using the latest equipment in the industry, including heavy-duty installation trucks with bucket lifts, heavy-duty trucks with scissor lifts and working platforms, excavators, compressors, jackhammers, concrete mixers, steel concrete casting formworks etc. Solex is able to deliver turnkey projects in record time.

Solex, with its wealth of experience in implementation and execution, handles all aspects of its projects from site survey to installation.  Overseeing and conducting the excavation and casting of concrete bases, mounting the solar powered streetlights (manufactured by Solex) on galvanized steel poles exclusively manufactured for Solex to our exacting specifications and according to strict European standards ensures that our process from manufacture to supply and finally installation and commissioning is 100% supervised by us from beginning to end.

To date, Solex has installed close to eight thousand solar powered streetlights in Nigeria on dual carriage ways within and outside cities, on oil tank farms, private estates and residences including the farm/residence of the former President Of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Some of the larger Solex projects include a single road of 10.8 km (certified to be the longest road in the world lit solely by solar powered streetlights) in Yenagoa, the capital city of Bayelsa state in Nigeria. Similarly, Oghara in the state of Delta has 1550 solar powered streetlights installed by Solex. This is the largest solar powered street lighting installation in any one location in the world. Rivers state Nigeria however has more Solex solar powered streetlights than the 2 previously mentioned states combined. Further Solex solar lighting projects are presently on going in all 3 states including the country’s capital Abuja.

Having firmly established itself in West Africa, Solex is expanding and taking on projects in other parts of the world, including China, the Middle East, Latin America and other parts of Africa.
